Players of the Match:

• Joint batters of the match Abu (19 high score), Barnaby (nearly 130 strike rate) and Katie (250 strike rate off 4 balls not out) with a special mention to Eesa for 11 runs off 13 balls.
• Bowler of the match Will Stokes with an average of 1, a wicket maiden and a total of 3 wickets and a special mention to Caleb for an average of 0.3 from 9 balls including a wicket, and we think a wicket maiden for half the over
• Match impact award goes to the whole team with a special mention to Eric and Barnaby for their catches plus another catch from Eric, although off a no ball so it didn't count. And special mentions to Abu, Katie and Umar for their run outs (Katie assisted by Caleb, Umar assisted by Vinnie).
• Opposition player of the match to Shiran for his all-round performance

Three brilliant things about the game:

1. Superb bowling with just 2 no balls and 1 wide ball
2. Good alertness in the field - 3 catches (although 1 was off a no ball), one stumping and 3 run outs (Abu, Katie assisted by Caleb and Umar assisted by Vinnie)
3. Everybody did something that impacted the game and everybody got into my list of special mentions

Three things to improve:
1) There's still space for more quick singles - non-striker needs to be at least a quarter, if not a third of the way down the pitch always looking to see if a run is available
2) Reduce the number of byes (although to be fair it was only 4 balls for Caleb and one for Vinnie)
3) Running on the last ball of the innings - we mustn't worry about getting out, always run whatever happens and don't just stop at one, the miss field from Kings Heath would have meant two runs

Thanks to Ellora and Umar for filling in as fielders, including Umar's run out assisted by Vinnie.

Overall a very pleasant evening with a friendly opposition.
