A strong all-round performance from the lads today with Sutton Coldfield CC taking a clean win against Walmley.

Walmley posted 128, with Caleb and Will picking up 1 wicket each and the team working hard in the field to keep the chase achievable.

In reply, SCCC chased it down confidently, finishing the game in the 18th over. Will led the chase brilliantly, retiring on 30, followed by another excellent innings from Ayan, also retiring on 30. Jensen added a solid 14, and Uzair contributed a valuable 11, Essa - finishing with boundary help guide the team home.

As usual, I love a chase — and the lads clearly love doing it as well. Great composure, positive batting, and a proper team win.

Well done everyone. Now we take this confidence into tomorrow’s Cup game.
