Sutton lost the toss and were put into bat by Moseley Ashfield, and thanks to a great knock by Amir Shabir (56) were able to get off a strong start. Ashfield did well to bowl themselves back into the game, reducing Sutton to 106-4 before a tremendous partnership of 164 from Aaron Thomason (75) and Raul Ram (81) saw us to a strong total of 277 from our 50 overs.
In response Ashfield were tightly restricted by both Jacob Squire Wood and Felix Haines who both bowled excellently, the former going for just 11 runs from his 10 overs. They were ably followed up by Graham Clark who took 4-46 which put us in a very strong position. Despite some late hitting from the Moseley Ashfield lower order, we showed enough resolve to hold on for a fourth consecutive win.
Next week we travel to Rugby where we hope to make it 5 on the bounce!
