3rds Vs Attock 4ths

3rd XI performed very well on Saturday….we won the toss and elected to field whereby Ghulam had a great day with the ball 3 for 16 runs off 8 overs(average 5.33), Stuart also with 3 wickets for 20 runs off 7 overs… all backed up by Khal (2 wickets), Ollie and Spike taking 1 wicket each - great all round performance with Stuart making the initial breakthroughs…and Khal at the other end pinning them down early …..Ghulam following to clear up……finally to reduce them for 140 all out!
Fielding highlights included a great slip catch by Kam Fazal, although as a team in general we did miss a couple of catches (we are addressing that in training..)

Batting….an excellent opening partnership from Will and Kam before Kam was dismissed for 15 but Will batted on well to get 21 before he was bowled . Stuart and Asim then steadied the ship with a partnership of 46 before we lost our 3rd wicket with 102 runs on the board. Asim got trapped lbw for 21 and Stuart walked with 25 runs on his tally following an excellent catch… By this time we we had achieved a good platform and the target of 140 was well in sight… Jack HW and Khal (Skipper for this game) easily got to the finish with Khal getting 2 boundaries off 2 balls to finish the job.
